Mike StJohn-Green is an independent cyber security subject matter expert, with clients in the City of London, industry and abroad. His current work includes developing computer security guidance for the civil nuclear sector and designing resilience into complex systems. Mike retired in 2013, after 39 years in MoD, GCHQ and then the Cabinet Office. His roles in GCHQ included Deputy Director CESG, the information security agency for the UK. Mike’s experience provides a perspective across public and private sector organisations in this rapidly changing field.

Mike is a frequent speaker and writer on cyber security and he makes a very welcome return to chair TriCyCIS 2020. He is technical advisor to the Information Security Forum, which publishes the internationally recognised Standard of Good Practice. He co-authored a book on Cyber Resilience, is a Fellow of the IET and an Honorary Fellow of the University of Warwick. In the early 1990s, Mike attended the Joint Service Defence College in Greenwich, enabling him to understand conversations between military officers
